How to identify your Badhak planets in the chart?
For every ascendant, there is a planet that is responsible to create obstacles for that particular native:
Movable signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn so all natives having movable signs as ascendant will have 11H as the obstacle causing house for them and its lord (ruler).
Aries ascendant rising will have the sign of Aquarius in the 11th house and its ruler Saturn/Rahu which will become badhakesh.
Cancer ascendant rising will have the sign of Taurus in the 11th house and its ruler Venus which will become badhakesh.
Libra ascendant rising will have the sign of Leo in the 11th house and its ruler Sun which will become badhakesh.
Capricorn ascendant rising will have the sign of Scorpio in the 11th house and its ruler Mars/Ketu will become badhakesh.
Fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius – so all natives having fixed signs as ascendant will have 9H as the obstacle causing house for them along with its lord (ruler).
Taurus ascendant rising will have the sign of Capricorn in the 9th house and its ruler Saturn which will become badhakesh.
Leo ascendant rising will have the sign of Aries in the 9th house and its ruler Mars which will become badhakesh.
Scorpio ascendant rising will have the sign of Cancer in the 9th house and its ruler Moon which will become badhakesh.
Aquarius ascendant rising will have the sign of Libra in the 9th house and its ruler Venus which will become badhakesh.
Dual signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces – so all natives having dual signs as ascendant will have 7H as the obstacle causing house for them along with its lord (ruler).
Gemini ascendant rising will have the sign of Sagittarius in the 7th house and its ruler Jupiter which will become badhakesh.
Virgo ascendant rising will have the sign of Pisces in the 7th house and its ruler Jupiter which will become badhakesh.
Sagittarius ascendant rising will have the sign of Gemini in the 7th house and its ruler Mercury which will become badhakesh.
Pisces ascendant rising will have the sign of Virgo in the 7th house and its ruler Mercury which will become badhakesh.
How do Badhak planets actually work?
People having Moveable signs rising in Lagna/ascendant will always have a lot of desires so when one desire gets completed, they move on to the next one thats why 11H (fulfilment of desires) became badhak (obstacle causing) for these ascendants.
People having Fixed signs rising in Lagna/ascendant – their principles will become the greatest obstacle to them. So, either their principles will not be there or they will become too rigid regarding it which will stop them from growing further.
People having Dual signs rising in Lagna/ascendant will have 7H as their obstacle. Their views towards society, partnerships and working in groups will cause obstacles for them.
Example Libra ascendant:
The main obstacle for this ascendant is fame as either he will get too much fame or get defamed (depending upon the aspects and its lord position) in the chart of the native.
His children, vision, upcoming generation and fame will be major issues of his life.
Example Cancer ascendant:
Sign of Taurus is in the 11H so family, resources and money will become the biggest reason for his obstruction so unless and until he doesnt learn to take each and everyone along with him as Taurus represents community as well he wont be able to overcome the obstacle caused by the same.
Badhak Planets Part – 2. Badhak Planet Greatness of the Chart
In last blog and video, I had given out a glimpse of Badhak planets and its basic understanding.
Dasa Interpretation:
So, before I proceed further and give out further information I hope you have gone through the videos of dasa planets and how they give results on YouTube (https://tinyurl.com/dasaplaylist) because you must understand as to how any planet will give its result as there is a complete process which is to followed to analyze the events.
Also, if you see planets sitting in 5th or 9th from its own sign or house is considered to be a balanced chart because they are not capable of giving extra-ordinary results.
Or, there are no double debilitation circuits like suppose dasa of 4L and it has got debilitated and wherever it has got debilitated, its ruler (lord) too has gone into debilitation, got exalted, combust, retrograde or occupied special positions consider it to be a special dasa.
If you wish to see planets giving results like double promotion, demotion, sudden sickness or major transformations the circuit of the planet which is formed to produce result of the same will have special circuits (like the ones mentioned before) otherwise it cannot be the case because I have chart in my system that whenever I try to open and see it the system gets hanged and a lot of people say that there are not much predictions to make from it as it is quite a neutral chart and all the planets are comfortably positioned.

Now, if Badhak lord (lord of 11th, 9th or 7th depending upon the ascendant as discussed in the previous blog on https://lunarastro.com/badhak-planets-obstruction-carriers-of-life/ gets linked with Lagna/Lagna Lord & Md/Gk/Ra/Ke or Lagna lord is retrograde and conjunct with the badhak planet he will suffer from health related issues.Results:
If any planet sits in Lagna and goes retrograde even though it may be a benefic he will have to take medicines continuously throughout his life.
Theres a particular sutra which says benefic getting retrograde gives good result yes but planets sitting in Lagna and getting retrograde will give troubles in health.
Jupiter retrograde and sitting in Lagna so whenever Dasha of it will come the natives father too will suffer from health-related issues.
