This blog is for serious students of Jyotish to help them in their Journey as we learn Jyotish there will be times you need to ask questions to yourself and it does not matter what stage you are on- These questions will remain relevant at all times irrespective of where you are right now in Journey, Ask yourself honestly- Can i predict future with certainty or am I lacking something ?
Well the blog is about remedies or way to learn Jyotish- These are not easy remedies but moreover advices to gain serious insights in to Astrology
This question will give you clarity about why and where you need to work hard as what i see most students are in sea of distraction, most of them don’t pay attention to details on what they need to study or what is their action plan for next three months to upgrade themselves, They work on a on/off kind of schedule and learn something from facebook, one antidote from twitter, then pick something based on what they have observed in few charts but the real systematic learning is missing and this is what creates difference over a period of time. the first mool mantra will be – IGNORE NOISE
Noise distracts people with firm goals – If someone is working in Karkamasha you don’t have to work on KL, you continue your work on whichever field you are focusing- remember the key lies in driver not in the car- It is upon you how brilliantly you can pick subtle details and make a precise prediction, look at the world as Shiv looks at Kashi being separated from the noise, you will be able to fine tune lot of things in life apart from your research as well.
The picture below is resemblance of what it looks like when you isolate yourself and focus on your research, trust me no group work, no community has ever produced a brilliant research as the subject belongs to eight house, You can feel the brilliance of it in isolation, even when i am teaching, half of things does not come out as it is part of observations only.
Let me give you an example- Yesterday on 8th Jan, I was waiting for a regular visitor in office but due to fog and traffic- she got late and in mean time a couple from Chandigarh came to visit- As I had spared this time only for consultation so I had a look at their chart.
I had a look at chart and made my observations on her career and other concerned areas and observation was – She must be accountant in University or school – now as a student of Jyotish you should understand that predicting an accountant is easy but predicting accountant in University is entirely different as it requires attention to detail, Similarly for her husband whom i suggested should do work related to Panels and interior designing -This guy is civil engineer and doing P.hd in panels only- That was eureka moment for me as predicting interior designer is one thing but Panels is another detail, these moments you realize the hard work of several years getting paid.
Again pay attention to details Panels is something very specific- I remember a person came to give me a feedback when he was suffering from Job issue I looked at chart and told him that you will get work related to language correction in govt or library- He got translation Job in UP Govt.
You see the technique is simple I use six types of strength to see which planet will impact most and secondly the drill of Standard operating process- how to go from D-1 to D-9 and then D-10 you get a fair idea of profession but this took me years to master and still till today every chart teaches me a new variation – Only to master this technique and death timing – I maintained a dairy as these combinations are part of four-five planets in a sequence that I felt I need to write such combos down for example a difference between a industrialist who is making cars and washing machines will look same but has a critical difference in strength and sign of Venus and Moon and this is attention to detail.
Second one which tricked me most of time is death timings- Now after many years, I have got fair idea on how and when person should leave earth although I never predict this to anyone as my principle but this helps me see lot of things in person’s life and help me in advising if i see a critical dasha.
You would see different post on Lunar astro FB group -one is about Dasha- One is about D-10, another is Jaimini sutras this is because all of us work on different areas to master them to a point, I prefer not to even listen to other research of team until and unless I am sorted with mine as that will distract me, If I feel working on any other areas then i will definitely approach another person to see their work.
You see this simple habit is called devotion to your work that you remain focused on your subject and keep on learning from lectures, books on same topic and practice rather than learning in fragments until and unless you are a beginner then i will suggest go through all lectures of Foundation for basics, Predictive astrology-1 for signs, Predictive astrology -2 for Karma and effect of planets, Yogini Dasa- for Vimshottari dasa and timing of events, so you can have a overview of all techniques.
As I always do- read the book first time with speed to get overview and then second time making notes and anything special you can find and finally only for important chapters- This gives a pretty good grasp of any book- you can do the same with videos listen first time on binge then second time make pointers and third time you will be ready to know where is important parts.
Devotion is necessary to subject, When you start a research this is your Sadhna, do not take it lightly, As whatever research you are doing rest assured someone else has done this research before and what you are doing is continuing someone else research you are bound to activate your eighth house- this eight house also belongs to death and lineage, When you are digging deep in to lineage of astrologers, you are bound to get help from many sources but the condition is you must be ready to accept that energy as remember the principle of battery- it dissipates only that much charge whatever is required by the load, so depending on your capacity you will get the help.
The another thing you need to remember is ninth house, there will be time you are stuck then go visit your ninth house, find someone who is higher than you to bless you, get devoted to that person and you will see slowly things will work in your favor, you see we bow down to anyone elderly as he/she is blessed with age so the whole reason of taking his blessing is due to age weather we know someone or not but one thing that person has is longevity so we bow down to get some of that energy, similarly when you need energy of Jyotish bow down to someone more knowledgeable than you with devotion, I still gift(not donate) some portion of my earning to people who keeps me motivated and carry the energy and the reason i used the word gift since I consider them partners in my work, You need to have that kind of devotion to climb high and i can tell you with experience as It would not have been possible without the blessings of ninth house.
You know why this picture is important in Hinduism – This is not because of Krishna -the picture is important due to Arjuna is on knees- The work of a mentor is to show you direction in one line, to aspire you for being greatest and take you out from short term selfish goals and thinking- The condition is you bow down to ask for help -It is the moment when Arjun is ready to listen as most of the times when god wish to speak to us, most of us are not ready but a time comes when we stop talking and bow down then god speaks to us.
Think about speaking with your father, most of the times father will not advice as he knows you are not ready to listen only when you are silent then comes the golden advice in one line.
I can tell you very few are worth of advice as their devotion is subjective, you can’t help someone when they are not ready, at present we have got almost ten people in office and all of them were students at one point of time at present they are equally good due to their efforts, practice, knowledge and moreover devotion, Only close people know how much of my sarcasm they have gone through to be at this level that other day when i read an article, I said- It a good article like I have written it as devotion takes time and not easy, this is when the ninth house bless people.
So whatever level you are on- today being thursday, Dashmi tithi- It is way to start your research and focus on one topic and nothing else try to master one thing and only one thing.

Feels like this article was written for me. I am a student of Foundation course but at times i lose hope and i am unable to understand lecture and since its recorded, not live, you have to live with that doubt/confusion untill someone helps you in forum. So i was very doubtful if i can master this subject or not, and i really really want to so i was a bit disturbed.

I have a question about Nakshtra Suchi. I am learning Astrology and during my learning I learned this concept of Nakshtra सूचि. Also, i thought of learning Astrology from Deepanshu Giri ji but my chart has combination if Rahu and Guru which stops me to enroll as whenever I learn from anyone my habit of asking question eventually make the teacher or coach discontent and disconnected with me. So I have been doing self studies. Any guidance on this will be helpful for people like me where Rahu (11 degree)and Guru (11 degree) are together in 11th house. Further, in one year of doing Astrology consultation I felt like leaving this as profession as people want remedies to quick fix instead of karma alignment and patience for remedies to work.
